Announcing the Successful Conclusion of McLaren Battery Refurbishment
Share
We are proud to announce the successful refurbishment of over 40 batteries for McLaren vehicles, which are celebrated globally for their unparalleled performance and cutting-edge design.
During this project, we connected with McLaren owners worldwide, gaining a deeper understanding of these high-performance machines. McLaren cars are not just vehicles; they are a blend of art and engineering, embodying the pinnacle of automotive innovation.
Refurbishing the 12-volt batteries was a meticulous task, particularly given McLaren's advanced integration of lithium-ion technology. McLaren’s approach to electrification, seen in models like the Artura, involves a lightweight, energy-dense battery system fully integrated into the vehicle’s carbon fiber structure. This design optimizes both performance and efficiency while maintaining the car's structural integrity.
Our focus was on replacing the battery cells while preserving the original Battery Management System (BMS). This required precise engineering, especially when reintegrating the cells with the BMS and the MOSFET board in the Gen 1 battery models. The complexity of these systems demanded a deep understanding of both the electrical and mechanical aspects of McLaren’s design.
We are thrilled to see these exceptional vehicles back on the road, powered by our expertly refurbished batteries, ready to deliver the exhilarating driving experiences their owners expect.
