We are excited to announce our collaboration with Rilus Bikes to develop a cutting-edge battery system for their electric motorcycles. Designing a battery for electric bikes presents unique challenges, particularly when balancing compact size with high performance. With Rilus, we took this challenge to a new level.
Our team successfully integrated 200 high-performance 21700 cells into a compact 40cm x 14cm x 14cm space, creating a 3.2kW, 72-volt battery capable of discharging an impressive 14,500 watts. To achieve this, we utilized the Lishen LR cells, renowned for their 4,500mAh capacity, 10C discharge rate, and 1.5C charge rate. The battery is arranged into two identical 20S5P stacks, effectively sharing the load and managed by a Bluetooth-enabled Battery Management System (BMS).
One of the standout features of this battery is its rapid charging capability, allowing it to recharge from 0% to 80% in just 30 minutes. The modular design of the battery stacks, available in 48V and 72V configurations, supports flexibility with 5 to 20 cells in parallel, making them easy to integrate with various BMS systems and connect in parallel with other stacks.
This collaboration with Rilus Bikes represents a significant step forward in electric motorcycle technology, delivering both power and efficiency in a compact form factor.
